The El Pueblo Innovation Center (EPIC) is an innovative elementary teacher education program led by Professor Susan Jurow of the University of Colorado Boulder School of Education. EPIC undergraduates learn side-by-side with elementary school students as they work on creative projects that enable the children to express their ideas and values through storytelling, art, and play. Read more about EPIC here.
The EPIC Imagineers club combines EPIC with computer science, empowering pre-service teachers and elementary school students to express their ideas through making computationally-rich projects. The Imagineers club launched in January 2017, bringing together 15 education students with 5 engineering undergraduate and graduate students.
We will share more information about the program soon.
The Laboratory for Playful Computation is part of the ATLAS Institute at the University of Colorado Boulder.
